Learning
Our Educational Philosophy
At Little Joy, our goal is simple: we want children to come to school each day feeling happy, curious, and excited to learn.
We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and free to explore at their own pace. That’s why our teaching philosophy is centered around play-based learning, hands-on discovery, and a deep connection with nature. Our environment is carefully curated to promote outdoor play, environmental appreciation, and connection with nature, all integral to nurturing mindful, well-rounded little learners.
Curriculum
At Little Joy follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, which supports the holistic development of each child. This internationally recognized framework is designed to nurture not only academic growth but also emotional, physical, and social well-being. We bring the EYFS to life through our own nature-inspired approach, combining structured learning with child-led exploration in a warm and welcoming environment.
The 7 areas of development covered by the EYFS curriculum include:
We aim to make every learning moment meaningful, enjoyable, and rooted in joy — because we believe that happy children learn best.
Teaching Methods
At Little Joy, our teachers use a combination of structured instruction and free play to create a well-balanced learning experience.

We look forward to welcoming you and your little one to our Little Joy family, where every day is about discovery, happiness, and growth.
